EXPERIENCE
4/02 to Present (Contractor) IMPLEMENTATION SPECIALIST, Autovod, San Jose, CA.
Production, design, and implementation using Autovod’s proprietary content management system. Quality assurance for sales and training relating to multimedia pieces for internet and CD-ROM for such clients as: VMware, Cisco, Sun, and IBM . Managed and implemented various forms of digital content using Autovod’s content management system. Production, design, and implementation of www.autovod.com (2002) web site.

to 6/11 COMPUTER MEDIA SPECIALIST, An East Bay Unified School District, SF Bay Area, CA.
While working at the school district, I have provided a variety of instructional and technical support to teachers and students at two schools:
At the Elementary School computer lab I managed and maintained 23 Dell Desktops and 10 iMac computer systems. Carried out basic maintenance of school laptops and desktops, e.g. replaced broken keyboards & mice, defraged hard drives, identified and removed spyware, and connected computers to network. Set up printers, speakers, scanners, and Outlook for staff. Also, taught students in grades K-3 the fundamentals of computers and software. Created grade-appropriate computer class assignments. Researched, tested and recommended grade-appropriate software and websites. Created schedules, managed schedules, and proctored NWEA (Northwest Evaluation Association) computerized testing for the computer lab. Handled numerous on site technical problems during NWEA testing.
At the Middle School I provided a variety of instructional/tech support to teachers and students using school laptops. Managed and maintained over 400 Dell laptops, 60+ desktops, 30+ LCD projectors, and 6+ ELMO presentation cameras. Carried out basic maintenance of school laptops and desktops, e.g. replaced broken keyboards & mice, defraged hard drives, cleaned out spyware, and connected computers to network. Set up printers, speakers, scanners, and Outlook for staff. Managed schedule, and proctored NWEA computerized testing for school. Handled numerous on site technical problems during NWEA testing. Also, taught students proper use of internet, word processing, and network printing.
During summer breaks I also assisted with imaging and inventory of over 6000 district laptops. I learned to use Microsoft Active Directory and Norton Ghost imaging software.

Assisted
senior producer, senior art director, and rest of production team
in variety of creative, and technical tasks. Used Macromedia's Director
to program and animate demos. Assisted senior producer and lead
programmer with testing and quality assurance of In-store. Reported
all bugs found to lead programmer. Assisted senior art director
and designer with screen captures. Digitized video using high end
Media 100 system and Radius Telecast system. Edited video in Adobe
Premiere and Adobe After Effects. Kept track of assets for archiving
and localization purposes. In charge of digitizing final voice over's,
using tools such as Soundedit 16. Assisted senior producer in localization
of kiosks. Handled much of the quality assurance for the projects.
Also functioned as team's MIS person in charge of installing the
appropriate software for the project. Worked as a go between the
contractors and the executive producer, making sure assets were
being handed over in an appropriate manner. Assisted producer in
the installation of kiosk at a convention.
CD-ROM
development for: Apple, Microsoft, Visa, Psygnosis, US Robotics,
Radius, CKS
Assisted
senior producer, lead programmer, and creative team in producing
a CD-ROM to teach users how to use Apple's new video editing software
Avid Cinema. Did half of the programming using Macromedia's Director.
Helped shoot much of the instructional video that was contained.
Did all of the video digitizing using Radius Telecast unit. Also
handled all of the video editing, using Adobe Premiere. Worked on
digitizing the voice over's for the CD using Soundedit 16. Was in
charge of keeping track of all the assets for the project. Handled
much of the quality assurance for the project. Helped localize the
CD into three different languages. Built prototype shells for projects.
Was in charge of digitizing and compressing final movies. Used Director
to program and animate CD-ROM's . Was in charge of testing and archiving.
Created a slide show using Adobe Persuasion for Apple sales people.
Worked closely with clients. Converted files for clients and production
team.
Was
lead during creation of CKS Pictures own CD-ROM Sampler, which was
used as a sales tool to promote our group to potential clients.
Did the Director programming, managing of assets, video digitizing,
and testing of sampler. Was in charge of duplicating the CD as well.
Web
Site development for: General Motors
Worked
with a huge production team to create GM's first web site to display
all of their motor vehicles for sale. Was in charge of keeping track
of all the graphic elements for the site. Created CKS's first major
database using Microsoft Excel to keep track of graphic elements
of this magnitude. Database was designed to be flexible to handle
constant client changes, plus be able to handle future site revisions.
Kept producers, project managers, and designers up to date on which
graphics were the latest. Was in-charge of archiving all the graphics.
Also worked with project manager on keeping the site flowchart updated.
Created and maintained flowchart using Claris Impact. Was responsible
for relaying the flowchart to the rest of the team. The client considered
this site a huge success. Public reaction was very positive.
Archiving
for: CKS Pictures and CKS Interactive
Started
Picture's CD archive. Instituted database system to keep track of
CD's contained in Archive. Archive, which was over 800 CD-ROM's,
contained final Gold-Master's, beta's, project source files and
final assets. Was in charge of keeping track of final gold master
CD's.

FREELANCE
2/95 - 96 The Oakland ZOO, Oakland, CA.
Single-handedly
produced "A Trip to the Oakland Zoo", a two-hour long, educational
CD-ROM. Handled scheduling, storyline, writing of script, and hiring
of voice over and music talent. Programmed the entire CD-ROM using
Macromedia Director. Created all artwork and interfaces for CD.
Shot 90% of all the pictures seen on the CD. Shot all of the video,
then edited and compressed video using Adobe Premiere. Recorded
all of the sound effects and later edited them using Macromedia's
Soundedit 16. Handled all of the quality assurance. Tested the CD
on numerous Macintosh configurations. Worked with graphic designer
to create CD cover artwork. Also assisted Zoo in promoting CD.
