Hasina M. Johnson was born in Berkeley, Ca. As a native of the Bay Area she has been exposed to many social welfare issues and has a personal concern for the well being of her community. Growing up, she was very privileged in the areas of education, arts and even political awareness. Hasina's strong core values for justice, equality and social change are the direct result of community empowerment realized in her own neighborhood as well as a testimony to the influence of great mentors and educators in her own life.
