The Bread of Idleness

Proverbs 31:27
She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness.
Day by day my family waits.
Day after day my sin states,
It’s obvious what I do not see.
It’s obvious from what I flee.
Many a day I see what’s to be done,
As I idle with my thoughts.
I need to call to his son
For the scripture to cure me in lots.
I ask for forgiveness for eating my bread.
I ask for to be let out of my own head.
I want to let go and do what I aught,
But instead, I say, “I can’t do what I’m not!”
Therefore I see-It is impossible for me to be
Someone I’m not-which I aught.
Only with God’s great grace and love,-
Can I look at my life and be at peace like a dove.
Help me God to be that wife,
A noble character I want to be.
Cut my sin with your word-knife,
Give me strength to be who you want me to be.
