Temptations

What is it that has taken over?

What is it that intends to burn?

Why is it that your soul takes cover?

And why in flames is this thing so stern?

Can we get out?

Can we take safety?

Why is it so hard to do this lately?

Your soul feels entrapped

Your soul is crying out.

When in this sin you are enwrapped

And you give in to buying out.

But take heart!

Remember your Savior!

Remember to ask His favor!

“No temptation has overtaken you

except what is common to us all.”

Including your Lord, He wants you

- to remember where you were, before the FALL.

Remember that you will not be tempted

Beyond what your soul can bear.

Remember that your Lord will provide a way out . . .

So that in the end you can share.

Share what God has done.

Share about His glory.

Share your life to others . . .

Share your story.

Then others will finally see,

That the Lord doesn’t want you to burn . . .

Stuck in your temptations in yearn.
