Remembering Your Grace

I love your grace.
I love your eternity
I love the way
You care with such subtlety
With such simplicity
And wonder –
- that drives us all
- up under.
Until we are caught
And our souls are bought
The price you paid
Was the greatest of all
No one can compare this –
- but to the hurt you felt
- from our fall
help my heart to remember –
the pure while of snow from December.
The purest while
- to cover my mess
the purity that covers
- and leaves no less
Your price was great
I am grateful I must say
Although I feel I was late
- it came through Your way
There was nothing I could o
Nothing can earn the right
To be close to You
- and be able to pray through
- the night.
The only way to be close
To you my Father
Is through your grace
My seeking, eternally,
- your face.
Beautifully, eternally,
Your love lavished
On us – for
Us to remember
What it is like
To be –
your child . . .
