Heart's Song

It sinks in real deep.

In my temples, in my mind,

And in my heart it will find –

 

Peace! Peace!

When there is no peace.

Release! Release!

But there is no release.

 

“Let me go!” I yell –

then I had to buzz the bell

- to God –

 

And is there a direct line to Him?

Can I just speak?

Can I give in – to Him

And can I hear His response leek

- in my inner soul

 

And in my inner child

- I cry out “No more!”

You say, “I want to settle the score” –

 

- You say I am here for a reason

and everything is done in season.

- If You say You love me,

then why can’t I flee?!

 

My heart cries out. I melt away.

Then when my flesh is gone,

You come in an lead me along,

- to love eternally.
