Depression

Good morning my LORD and love.

Your grace is wonderful like a dove.

Your glory and power is so pure and right

moreover, you love and help me each day and night.

Therefore, I say with much sorrow I have seen my sin,

I have witnessed and felt the despair I have been in.

I never want to go back there again.

I never want to be where I have been.

In deep sorrow and depression

the tears were my friend.

They made a big impression

and helped my emotions to mend.

Yet with all my tears lost in sorrow,

the crying on end until the morrow,

I see that nothing compares with the mend

I feel when on you I depend.

I relent and say – I will no longer go my own way.

I need only depend on you

- my LORD.

Then all my tears flew

- for you are my sword.

Depending on myself was a tragedy,

I need you my LORD in all your majesty.
